AnSo is an interdisciplinary South Korean artist and performer living and creating on Dharug land, who blends their Korean culture with contemporary performance. A self-described sculptor of sound, AnSo makes experimental electronic music built from field recording manipulations and vocal experimentation, and weaves Korean and English lyrics together to speak to the experience of diaspora and cultural loss. Their work explores cultural and queer identity through sound, body and vocal art.
