Bonnie Kay & The Sweet Patooties
Bonnie Kay & The Sweet Patooties are a Sydney five-piece of women led by singer and guitarist Bonnie Kay, with Carolyn Packer on keys, Claire Hollander on trumpet, Catherine Golden on bass and Katie Glendenning on drums. They play blues and jazz from the 1920s and 30s and rockabilly and swing from the 40s to the 60s alongside their own songs, often in four-part harmony. Their debut album Open Doors came out on 11 July 2026 and is mostly their own songs, including Mr Right and The Hook. They have played Kangaroo Valley Folk Festival, Newcastle Jazz Festival and Marrickville Street Festival.
