George Washingmachine
George Washingmachine is a jazz violinist, singer and painter who trained as a classical violinist and moved to Sydney in 1984 to play jazz violin. He leads the George Washingmachine Quartet, whose 2008 album Room 301 Sessions was recorded at the Miri International Jazz Festival in Malaysia, and he has made nine albums. He co-leads an eight-piece ensemble with pianist Simon Tedeschi. He has played festivals in Europe, Cuba and the US, including Havana Jazz.
