Maryam Rahmani
Maryam Rahmani is an Iranian-born singer, santur player and composer who has lived in Adelaide since 2019. She studied traditional music performance at Tehran University and also plays the tombak drum. Her album Kamand, recorded at Milestone Studios in the Adelaide Hills during an Artist Accelerator Program placement, came out in 2025 with Rosalie Cocchiaro, Sebastian Collen, David Moran and Gustavo Quintino. Her work draws on Persian classical music, and she has also trained in flamenco dance in Adelaide.
