Max Easton is a musician and writer from south-west Sydney. He has played bass in Double Date, Basic Human, BB & The Blips and Point Being, drums in The Baby, and guitar in Romance and Dry Finish. His novels with Giramondo are The Magpie Wing (2021), Paradise Estate (2023) and Now, Autonomy (2026). He also makes Barely Human, a zine, bootleg tape and podcast series about underground music that began in 2016.
